There were 3 main places that people would check for rules, either using the forums, using the rules board or by using the /rules command. I propose using the rules board for command, such as /rules, /mods or /report. This would reduce the chat clutter for someone joining the game, and also clearer for members who are new to the server. In addition, due to inconsistencies of formatting, it would be easier to standardise the formatting between the /rules command and those displayed on the forum than trying to translate them to signs which are more limiting than helpful.
In addition, the /mods list should be replicated on the forums, and should also be reformatted to more similarly look like the rules. This would make the server look slightly more professional and make the list slightly easier to read. This could be done by having a vertical list, similar to the /rules command, and categorising the allowed mods into categories, for example "HUD modification, e.g. 5zig, HUDpixel. NOT including minimap mods." "Lightmaps and Fullbright." You get the example. This would make confirmation of the allowed and disallowed mods considerably easier than it is currently.
Both of these would make the rules and the positions of the moderators much easier as there would be no doubt to the rules, as well as a proof of timestamp on the forums.
