Losing swords upon death in Beaconwatch

When people die you should not just be able to rush the person who killed them. It defeats the purpose of fighting people if they can just go back and kill them for their ores with no consequence other than slowness for two seconds. It also takes away from the game and allows for spawn camping.

People should just save items to get a sword back and not just immediately rush people.

I was thinking about losing some durability, maybe swords lose durability by a lot upon death.

It makes sence since a Sword is a weapon and not a tool

Now tools and swords take 10% durability loss on player's death. This means that eventually they'll have to remake their tools and swords. I don't want people to keep having to mine ores to make something as simple as a sword. It would feel repetitive.

Also, slowness at respawn is 5 seconds, not 2!
