I love playing games with a lot of players in it, and a lot of people do too, but the thing is, players are spread out all across games in 2-4 player lobbies with no real way to coordinate getting into 1 game easily (I've tried)
and so 1 idea I came up with is "Happy hour" basically a queue that everyone can join in and always a set time for the happy hour to start, and in terms of how it would play exactly I wasn't sure what was most efficient to do so I'll
list the examples I could come up with
The issue of players spreading out all across games in 2-4 player lobbies is a major issue that I've been worrying about for quite some time.
To fix that, a late scatter feature is going to be added so that players that are late to games that have already started will join that game instead of ending up in another game if PvP hasn't been enabled yet.
Still, a happy hour could be a good idea to make sure all players know they can find a happy hour game every day at the same time. It's quite some work to set it up, but I think it's worth it if everyone likes it!
I'm not sure whether or not it is a good idea to have late scatter after the first 5 minutes of a game starting. Mainly talking about how Scenario Madness/Cutclean/Vanilla have either 15 or 20 minutes(I forgot) before PvP enables, which means the entire game. Really all of the first 10 minutes of the game matters, and is a large disadvantage for late scatter players.
Before the current queuing system, players had no way to join an ongoing game or start a new game for an ongoing game. This means they had to wait for the game to end before being able to play on that game mode/team size. With this late scatter system, it's more likely you will be able to play with more players in the same game.
