So, from experience and from looking at other players' reactions, the border right now is completely wack in my opinion (only at meetup). I don't know why it was changed back in 2021 or 2020 (I don't remember when this change happened) but I'm sure that a lot of the players have a big problem with how the border works. The old border barely had any complaints if I remember correctly and was perfectly fine. I really liked the old border and I don't think a change should've been made to it in the first place and should've been kept the same.
I have 2 proposals to change this.
Going back to the old border - I think the old border which gradually shrunk very slowly as the meetup went on until it hit 20x20 was good. I don't think any changes should be made towards this and should just be kept how it used to be.
Making it a teleporting border - Like many other servers I have played on, in meetup the border doesn't shrink by moving but it shrinks by teleporting itself. For example, every minute the border could go from 50x50 to 40x40. Then the next minute it can shrink to 30x30 by tping and then lowering the number down to 25x25 in the next minute etc. I think it will also be necessary that if you choose to have a tp border, players should receive spawn protection so they don't get killed instantly after being tped.
I don't know what you will think about these suggestions but I would like if you could think this through properly on how you can make changes towards the border. I don't mind either and don't care on which one you decide to do but if you choose to do a tp border, I'm sure it would take a lot of coding and work into doing it. Going back into the old border should be easy enough I'm guessing and I don't think would cause much problems.
Since PlayUHC also likes to have a lot of cool, unique scenarios, maybe the tp border can act as a scenario for scenario madness. Players can choose to vote if they want to play the UHC with a tp border or if they don't vote for it, the border will just be the same. However, this suggestion is more based on the border at meetup and how it should act. If it was to be a scenario, it can work as something like in 20 minutes, the border will shrink from 1500x1500 to 1000x1000 and teleports players if they are beyond the area of where the border would tp. Though, it would take a lot of coding and work into producing this as it also looks into how a person will get tped. Maybe they'll get tped into a safe position in a cave for the first few tps but if there's like 5 minutes left till meetup, they could get tped to the surface and maybe push a bit of early fights since everyone just hides out in caves for the whole game.

How do you know? I didn't wake up one day and say "you know what? let's ruin the meetup border today!", wasting my time on it.

Can you explain what the issue with the current border is? Saying "it's completely wack" is not helpful. If it's the border speed, it can be reduced.
