SMP Economy Seasons

A lot of the SMP players have shown the desire of getting to the top of /CoinsTop, but for a reason or another, it might have become quite difficult.

One way to give everyone the chance to reach the top of CoinsTop might be having Seasons for Coins.

Each Season lasts for a determined amount of time (3 or 6 months?), and at the end of each season:

tbh i like having the coins more than a prefix
also imagine being 10 million and winning a season
then someone else wins a next season while being maybe 10k over the 2nd in rankings

I think a 10k difference makes it more interesting. Definitely more interesting than having millions of coins of advantage because 3-5 players could sell waxed copper blocks for a lot of coins for about 8 hours. Not everyone had the same opportunity, which it sucks. I am trying to think if there is a way to fix things. Suggestions are welcomed.

tbh the ones who actually had a chance in being the top, all of them sold copper at these hours xD
i dont mind if we check how many coppers each player sold. and we can multiply the amount by 500 then remove that money from each player who sold it
then multiply the amount of copper sold by 50 (as it was intended) and add it to each player who had sold

basically all the amount made from copper during this day would be divided by 10.
(i'd rather if we do no changes. but i also dont want you feeling bad about the money people made)

This is not true and even if it was, the gap is now too big

but i also dont want you feeling bad about the money people made

I feel bad for those who might have had a chance before and now they don't

But I expected those who are at top to not like such thing. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Not sure if the shop/coin system, can be configured to do these things...

  1. Can wealthier players be limited or even prevented from selling to the admin shops? Either the more money you have, the less you can sell to admin shops and/or at a certain level of wealth, you simply cannot sell to the admin shops?

  2. Can wealthier players be required to spend coins in shops or pay others on some timely basis? For example, players with more than 1 million coins need to spend or pay 10k coins each week or forfeit any of the 10k they didn't spend. This should not be affected by coins the wealthy player makes through their own shops or from being paid, so it wouldn't use their coin count itself as the determining factor, but rather the amount they spend or pay only.

Again, these obviously would need to be a configurable option in the shop/coin system.
