On the smp, if you have a passive mob in a claim, other players won't be able to kill/interact whit it. This is however not the case for hostile mobs. Which makes sense. You don't want a player in someone else's claim to be unable to defend themself from naturaly spawning mobs.
My proposel is to make name-tagged hostile mobs, go by the same rule as passive ones. This would be a nice way to keep hostile mob safe as pets, or for other resons like farms.
If this could be done, that would be great! As i need this for the projekt i'm working on.
Can't you just make the area where the mobs are inaccessible? Mobs can attack players, so players should be able to defend themselves.
The projekt i'm working on is a minigame where hostile mobs are supposed to be one of the treaths. I don't want players to kill the mobs, which some might find themting if nothing prevents them from doing so.
I don't feel like it's a good idea to let monsters hit players, but players not be able to hit the monsters. Players will make traps based on this, killing players easily as they cannot defend themselves.
