This is hard to do. I believe the only way to enforce this server-side is to alter data packets sent to players, which isn't easy, and might break easily.

If it was a recorded round, everyone could just use a texture pack, but people will not do this in normal UHCs.

What if, instead, "Naked and Afraid" means you can't wear armor at all?

So with the concept of naked and afraid, its meant to mean you have to pick your battles wisely. Without naked and afraid, you can obviously see the type of gear players have. This can force many different types of options, take the fight, run away, etc. whereas when you have naked n afraid on, this forces both parties to play it safe which can mainly be bow fights. Naked and afraid just allows players to condition their fights properly and be aware of their surroundings and that influences the way a normal fight will be.

Now with your idea, while I get the concept, it just doesn't rly fit for UHC. It just would not be fun as UHCs take a rly long time depending on what you're doing. For example, say I'm doing a scenario madness UHC and one of the scenarios is naked and afraid in your idea. i would have to play the game for a whole 45 mins just to have no armor and I could make sharp 5, power 5, etc. and then I instantly die to a creeper or I will just get 2 tapped by someone or something. Golden apples become useless as if you're in a fight you're gonna die instantly, sure you could bow fight but if someone gets lucky and gets 2 shots in, you will die instantly. It really isn't beneficial for an actual UHC match and it would be the same outcome for recorded rounds but worse... imagine playing 2 hours and then that happens. Almost feels like a time waste.
